Koh Samui
Thailand
11.03.2017 - 14.03.2017
We arrived in Koh Samui and it was buzzing like a smaller full moon party.
I had to cancel my card and transfer all of my money to Crystal's bank so I could access it. Was such a faff.
The hostel where we stayed was called Sirin Samni, it was so welcoming. It did look a bit like a modern prison but once you saw past the corridors (and that it was safe) there was a pool, a relaxing area, it was clean, with friendly staff and puppies! What more could you want really?
The guy pictured (owner of the hostel and the puppies) took me to the police station to tell them about my things being stolen for insurance purposes. I was there for an hour, it was such a laid back police station - looked like not a lot of work got done there lol.
We were only in Koh Samui a couple of days so we didn't get to see too much of it. We went down to the beach in the evening and ended up partying like mad. There was fire, dancing, drinking games, music, buckets, flame throwing, chameleons and everything! I preferred it to Koh Phangang, it's a lively holiday place where you can enjoy the atmosphere, dance on tables unless you're accident prone like me where you break two toes trying to get down and hoofing a rock. We soon made friends with other raving foreigners and I forgot (with the help of alcohol) about the pain of my toes until the morning. The sand was so soft and beautiful and there were great market places to go shopping. My toes swelled up but I manned up and taped them together. This will not hinder my trip!
We were on the move again before we knew it! To Krabi...
